How to control the wall thickness deviation of industrial seamless steel pipes

Among the common problems of seamless steel pipes, wall thickness difference (eccentricity) occupies the first place. Wall thickness difference, as the name implies, is the difference between the maximum wall thickness and the minimum wall thickness. As long as it is a seamless steel pipe, there will be wall thickness deviation, but how much can this deviation be controlled?

1. Wall thickness deviation specified by national standards
What is the general allowable deviation of seamless steel pipe wall thickness? According to national standards: GB/T8162-2008 National Standard for Seamless Steel Pipes for Structures
Q: What is the allowable deviation of 25*5 seamless steel pipe wall thickness?
A: The wall thickness S is 5mm, corresponding to the allowable deviation range of >3~10 -10%S to +12.5%S, then the allowable deviation of 25*5 seamless steel pipe wall thickness is -0.5~+0.625mm.

In some mechanical processing applications, the wall thickness deviation of seamless steel pipes is a very important indicator. 3. How to control the wall thickness deviation of steel pipes and help customers save costs

(1) The source of steel pipe production—perforation
- We have sophisticated perforation equipment (extended type). The furnace length is equipped with preheating, heating, and high-temperature zones. Natural gas nozzles are used throughout the process to ensure uniform temperature and ensure the quality of perforation.
