1. Chemical composition analysis
Both instrumental analyses and chemical analyses can be used. The samples used for chemical analysis are smelt samples, ingot drill chips samples, and pipe samples. The smelt sample generally adopts the instrumental analysis method, and the finished pipe sample adopts the chemical analysis method and the combined analysis method.
2. Dimension and shape inspection
The inspection contents mainly include wall thickness, outer diameter, length, curvature, ovality, port slope, and obtuse angle, and cross-sectional shape of special-shaped steel pipe.
3. Surface quality inspection
Manual visual inspection and non-destructive inspection. There are many non-destructive testing methods, such as ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, magnetic particle testing, magnetic flux leakage testing, electromagnetic ultrasonic testing, and penetrant testing. Each method has advantages and disadvantages.
4. Chemical performance testing
Mechanical performance tests (tensile test, toughness test, hardness test), hydraulic test and corrosion test (intergranular corrosion test, hydrogen cracking resistance test-HIC, sulfide stress cracking test-SSCC) at room temperature or certain temperature.
5. Steel pipe process performance test
Including flattening experiment, ring pulling experiment, flaring and crimping experiment, bending experiment.
6. Metallographic analysis
Including low power and high power inspection.
7. Parameter detection of special oil pipe thread
Including coupling pattern detection, pipe thread detection and detection after the pipe body and the coupling are tightened
