Straight seam steel pipes are a type of welded steel pipe. It refers to a steel pipe with a weld parallel to the longitudinal direction of the steel pipe. After the hot-rolled steel coil is formed by a forming machine, the steel coil is deformed into a cylindrical shape. The high-frequency current skin effect and proximity effect or arc burning under the flux layer is used for welding, so that the edge of the tube blank is heated and melted under a certain extrusion pressure, melted, and finally cooled and formed. It is widely used in oil and gas transportation, low-pressure water-gas transportation, mine fluid transportation, belt conveyors, automobile drive shafts, and other industries in petroleum, metallurgy, construction, coal mining, ports, machinery, and other industries.
Straight seam welded pipe equipment plays an important role in people’s lives and work, but the maintenance of straight seam steel pipes has always been a headache. Choose a suitable location and warehouse.
1. The place and warehouse where steel pipes are stored should be clean and water-free, away from factories and mines that produce harmful gases and dust. Weeds and debris should be removed on-site to keep the steel pipes clean.
2. It should not be stacked together with corrosive materials such as acid, alkali, salt, cement, etc. on the steel pipes in the warehouse. Different types of steel pipes should be stacked separately to prevent confusion and contact corrosion.
3. Large-section steel, rails, faded steel plates, large-diameter steel pipes, forgings, etc. can be stacked in the open air
4. Small and medium-sized steel, wire rods, steel bars, medium-diameter steel pipes, steel wires, and wire ropes can be stored in well-ventilated material sheds, but lower cushions must be installed.
5. Some small steel pipes, steel plates, steel strips, silicon steel sheets, small or thin-walled steel pipes, various types of cold-rolled, cold-drawn steel pipes, and expensive and easily corroded metal products can be stored in the warehouse
6. The warehouse is selected according to geographical conditions. Generally, a general closed warehouse is used, that is, a warehouse with walls on the roof, tight doors and windows, and ventilation devices.
